We are pleased to share an important update regarding Field and Marten Associates (FMA) and what it means for you.
Effective April 1, 2026, FMA has become part of Blue Projects, a global engineering, project management, and construction management company operating from 26 offices and present in 55 countries worldwide. This is a positive step forward that strengthens our ability to support clients with greater depth, resilience, and long‑term stability.
Blue Projects is proud to welcome the FMA team and to continue FMA’s 30‑plus‑year legacy of excellence serving the senior care, housing, and non‑profit building sectors in Western Canada and beyond. The combination of FMA’s trusted local expertise with Blue Projects’ international capability and experience creates a stronger platform to serve our clients and partners.
We would like to reassure you that there will be little change to the day‑to‑day services you receive. Your existing projects, contacts, and commercial arrangements remain unchanged. Marten Van Huizen and Art Reitmayer will continue in their roles for the foreseeable future, ensuring continuity of leadership and client relationships. In addition, Mike Haney, Blue Projects’ North America Lead based in Vancouver, and Neal Barber, Co‑founder and Managing Partner of Blue Projects, will be working closely with Art, Marten, and the FMA team as we define next steps and engage with our clients and partners.
Becoming part of Blue Projects provides access to broader technical capability, increased scale, and global support—while preserving the client‑focused culture and service standards that have long defined Field and Marten.
We look forward to sharing more information in the coming months. This is only the beginning, and we are excited to build on the strong relationships and services already in place to further benefit our clients and partners.
If you have any questions, your usual FMA contact will be happy to discuss this update.
Kind Regards,
Marten Van Huizen Art Reitmayer Neal Barber Michael Haney
